Hockey Academy are AoC National Champions 2024!

In a stunning victory, Oaklands Wolves Hockley Academy have been crowned National Association of Colleges (AoC) Champions 2024 after winning all their games at the Championship weekend (19 – 21 April), without conceding a single goal!

Success for the Wolves was made even sweeter as this was the first time they had entered the competition. They also knocked out former  all-time Champions, Peter Symonds, who had previously never lost at the championships and had beaten the Wolves during the semi-finals.

The Wolves reigned supreme across 5 matches during the weekend of competition, beating Greenhead (3-0), Cardinal Newman (1-0), Loughborough (18-0), a record score at the Nationals, Hereford (4-0), and finally Peter Symonds (1-0).

Coach Simon Archer said: “I am super proud of the team and what we have achieved in our debut national year. To not concede or drop points is absolute class! Our journey since last year has been amazing, from only winning 1 game in the league, to 14 months later being National Champions!”
