Jeriel Quainoo was on campus last week, sporting his impressive Team GB attire after gaining selection for Team GB.
Jeriel, who has had an excellent year on the track is now ranked the third fastest in Europe at Under 20s and occupies a World Top 10 ranking and was a European Championships 100m finalist, as well as taking gold in the 4x100m.
Now a sponsored athlete, Jeriel will be flying the Oaklands Wolves flag as he prepares for the upcoming World Indoor Tour Gold series, which includes seven Gold standard meetings, all of which are among the top indoor meetings in the world, including the ‘Muller British Grand Prix’ at Utilita Arena Birmingham on Saturday 19th February 2022.
Speaking at the college, Jeriel said: “I’m really proud to have come this far, the Athletics Academy gave me a platform to perform and showcase my talents and I’m really grateful for that, I hope this is just the start of a successful athletics career.”
