Oaklands Wolves Hockey Academy have been on a successful run which has stretched well into the New Year, winning an impressive three back-to-back games. 

The Hockey Academy, which is associated with Oaklands College in Hertfordshire, compete in the Association of Colleges Hockey Leagues and currently sit top of the table. Its players study from a range of full-time Sports Diplomas and A Levels, whilst receiving elite-level training from an experienced coaching team.

The win which kept the Wolfpack top of the league standings was courtesy of a visit from Long Road Hockey Academy, who represent Long Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge. The Oaklands Wolves’ emphatic performance was rewarded with a 6-1 win.

Head of Hockey Simon Archer said: “Our unbeaten run is a testament to our student athlete’s progression here at Oaklands College. It’s rewarding to see our coaching resonating with players and resulting in fantastic performances and results on the pitch.”

In the three games played by the academy this season, they have already registered an impressive 19 goals, only conceding 3.
